BUWIC strives to improve the post graduate experience of students by focusing on career choices they will face on graduation and addressing issues that they will encounter, particularly women chemists.
We hold meetings that consist of a discussion and/or seminar forum - hosting scientist-speakers from academia, industry or a ‘non-traditional’ sectors both from within and outside Boston University.
While our meetings present options for the ‘after graduate school’ path, the events are targeted at bringing chemistry graduate students and postdoctoral fellows together as a community. Events range from an annual social departmental barbeque to career building workshops.
