Our group, founded by women graduate students in the Deparment of Chemistry, strives to promote the advancement of females in the sciences by providing professional development and social networking opportunities.
Our goal is to provide chemistry graduate students and postdoctoral fellows, both male and female, with resources to help them with challenging career decisions.
We invite speakers from industry, academia, and 'non-traditional' sectors to share their experiences and views on "what happens after graduation?" "What kind of career path will support and enable me to have a family?" "Is an academic career or an industrial one right for me?" BUWIC helps to answer these questions, at the same time providing a sense of community and support.
