Beginning in the academic year 1994-95, the College Board re-centered the SAT scores. As a result, combined SAT scores from 1994-95 onwards are not immediately comparable to earlier scores. Re-centered scores at the high and low ends of the distribution are roughly equivalent to pre-1994-95 scores. Mid-range scores from 1994-95 onwards can read as much as 80 points higher. All data derive from SAT test administrations through January of the relevant school year.
