Nico is a first year Master of Divinity student at Boston University School of Theology, and comes to BU straight out of his undergraduate work at the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma Washington, where he double majored in Religious Studies and International Political Economy.  In addition to studying, Nico was also a student-athlete as a varsity rower, and actively involved in Puget Sound’s chapel and religious life while an undergraduate, including leading the United Methodist Student group for two years.

Nico is also bringing to Marsh Chapel a wide range of experiences in Christian leadership.  He has recently served as a youth director at a reconciling United Methodist Church in Seattle, WA, and as a challenge course facilitator, camp counselor, and program staff at Lazy F Camp in Ellensburg, WA.  Additionally, Nico has also represented youth and young adults at several national and international conferences, and was also recently an undergraduate fellow with the Fund for Theological Education.

Nico is an avid rock climber, hiker, kayaker, and runner.  He passionately believes in the preservation of God’s amazing masterpiece and in the ministry opportunities that exist in creation.  Nico is also a connoisseur of bad jokes, and is always looking to expand his repertoire.
