Rev. Liz Douglass
BA | Kent State University
MDiv | Boston University
Liz started her work at Marsh Chapel as a Ministry Associate working with the Servant Team four years ago. After seeing a need for outreach to the LGBTQ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer/questioning) community and safe space at the Chapel, Liz had a vision for an LGBTQ ministry, now called OUTlook. Upon completing her Field Education requirements for her Master of Divinity, Liz joined the Marsh team as a Chapel Associate for LGBTQ Students. Liz has a heart for the Church and a passion for the equality of all people, especially the LGBTQ community, and the work she does focuses on building bridges between these two areas that are too often disconnected.
As a member of the United Church of Christ, Liz is currently a candidate for ordination in the Metropolitan Boston Association. She holds her membership at the United Parish in Brookline where she travels back and forth to when she’s not worshipping at Marsh Chapel.
Originally from Ohio, Liz graduated from Kent State University with a Bachelor’s in English. She moved to Boston seven years ago and completed her graduate work at Boston University’s School of Theology where she received her Master of Divinity.
In her spare time, Liz enjoys biking, knitting, cooking, rock climbing, and dinner parties. Liz is also a member of SpeakOUT Boston and encourages storytelling as a learning and growing experience. To see what else Liz is up to, visit her on Facebook.
