Ms. Kristen Redford
Kristen is a Master of Divinity Student at Boston University’s School of Theology. She is interested in working with teens and young adults, with a restorative justice focus on issues of sexuality, sexual ethics, and spirituality. Raised a progressive Baptist in the Deep South, Kristen first felt a call to ministry in junior high. She moved at age 15 to Massachusetts where she finished high school and attended the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, majoring in Sociology. After college, she went to the University of Texas, Austin with plans to pursue a PhD in Sociology. A year into the program, she felt the call to ministry again, finished her Masters in Sociology, and came to Boston University. Her MDiv concentration is Global and Community Engagement and Kristen hopes to pursue community engagement at BU by fostering conversations between religious and non-religious student organizations on campus.
When not being a student or a ministry associate, Kristen enjoys singing in the Seminary Singers choir, knitting, going to movies, plays, and concerts, cooking, or exploring Boston and the surrounding area with friends. She has also taken up running and looks forward to running her first 5k.
