The University Chaplain for Community Life at Marsh Chapel, Boston University, Br. Larry is starting his fifth year at BU, first as a graduate student in the School of Theology. In the fall of 2006 he began work as a Field Education Intern at Marsh Chapel and then also worked as Chapel Associate for First-year Students during the spring term. In July of 2007 he took up his present responsibilities as University Chaplain in the development of the programmatic ministry of Marsh Chapel.

Br. Larry is a professed member of the Lindisfarne Community, an ecumenical neomonastic religious order based in Ithaca, New York. The Lindisfarne Community has seen fit to make Larry a deacon and he was ordained in apostolic succession on June 17, 2006. He looks forward to ordination to the order of presbyter/priest in June 2009.

Br. Larry recently completed the Master of Divinity degree with a specialization in ecumenical systematic theology at the BU School of Theology, with a Certificate in International Mission and Ecumenism through the Boston Theological Institute (BTI). He serves as facilitator of the International Mission and Ecumenism Faculty Committee of the BTI and In this capacity served on the Ecclesiology Study Commission of the BTI and the Massachusetts Council of Churches, called together by the Faith and Order Commission of the World Council of Churches (WCC). He is presently pursuing the Master of Sacred Theology degree at BU STH with a concentration in philosophical theology.

As a Ministry Fellow with the Fund for Theological Education, Br. Larry researched ecumenical community formation at the WCC and with the Taize Community, the Iona Community, and the Christian Peacemaker Teams. He also has a research interest in the religious and spiritual impact of globalization on communities and gave a paper on spiritual responses to globalization and violence at the 2006 Young Adult Ecumenical Forum. The 2007 Forum was held at Marsh Chapel with Br. Larry's support.

In 2005, Br. Larry completed his undergraduate studies in Music Education (Clarinet) with a minor in Religious Studies at Ithaca College and received a Bachelor of Music Degree. Throughout his time at IC he was a leader of the Protestant Community at Ithaca College and served on the Ithaca College Interfaith Council. During the winter breaks of his freshman and sophomore years he traveled to Belieze and Mexico, respectively, returning to Mexico for the subsequent spring break, working in both countries on structural improvements and developing relationships and cultural exchange. In the summer following his junior year, Br. Larry worked as an intern for the Women's Interfaith Institute in the Finger Lakes and during his senior year he was an Undergraduate Fellow with the Fund for Theological Education.
