The Episcopal Church at Boston University
From the Chaplain
Campus life creates an extraordinary opportunity for spiritual exploration. The Episcopal Church at B.U. attempts to respond by providing ann environment in which people discover the richness of both Christianity in general and Anglicanism in particular, as well as the nature of the faith that is uniquely their own. Ours is a tradition that encourages questions, makes room for ambiguity, and welcomes diversity. Our goal is to share our faith with you in such a way as to inspire you to find and share your own.
Our community celebrates communion each Sunday in Robinson Chapel (basement of Marsh Chapel) and we gather on Wednesdays at 40 Prescott Street (my home) for dinner and discussion at 6 p.m. Whether your schedule allows you to come every week or only once or twice a term, you are always welcome.
In addition to these weekly events, retreats, the practice of justice and compassion through community outreach, bible studies, one-to-one discussions, and pastoral counseling are also part of our ministry.
Whether you are a student, or a member of the faculty or staff, you are invited to join us as we learn about God, our neighbor, and ourselves.
Faithfully,
The Reverend Ms. Margaret Schwarzer
