The All-American Individual Advocate/Client Award is awarded to client and advocate (lawyer) pairs from the InterNational Academy of Dispute Resolution. Stephen received this award from his participation in the 13th Annual National Intercollegiate Mediation Tournament on November 1-3 at Brenau University in Gainesville, GA. He played the role as a CFO of a newspaper company, and had to communicate and negotiate with a non-profit company to find common ground and meet a resolution. He and his advocate scored the highest score out of all of the advocate client pairs judged by a panel of practicing mediators or lawyers. There were a total of 23 universities from around the nation competing in this competition all the way from the University of San Diego to Boston University.
