Documenting Discrimination Against People Living with HIV/AIDS in Vietnam
Project Description
Boston University Center for Global Health and Development (CGHD) is working with Health Policy Initiative, the Center for Community Health Research and Development, and the Center for Creative Initiatives in Health and Population document for the first time the magnitude and types of discrimination experienced by people living with HIV/AIDSĀ in Vietnam. This study is focusing on HIV/AIDS-related discrimination prohibited by the national HIV/AIDS law in relation to health care, education, employment, housing, and disclosure of HIV status. Study results will inform national policy makers about the extent to which the national HIV/AIDS law has been implemented and enforced and what types of discrimination and violations of the law need to be addressed.
