Service Delivery Models

Access to health services and health outcomes are generally poorer in rural and remote areas in the developing world. In order to improve access to services, many new programs and models of service delivery have been implemented, including the reliance on community health workers and traditional birth attendants. The CGHD works to build the capacity of front-line health care providers to deliver quality care, as well as to evaluate their effectiveness at identifying and treating diseases such as pneumonia, malaria, and HIV.
