Biography

Ariel Falconer, Program Manager at the Center for Global Health and Development (CGHD) at Boston University, holds a BA in Peace and Conflict Studies from Colgate University. She is currently pursuing her MPH in international health at the Boston University School of Public Health. Ms. Falconer serves as the Program Manager for studies assessing HIV transmission in vulnerable and key populations in Ghana; capacity building and evaluation for women’s self-help groups in India; evaluation of stunting and childhood nutrition in Peru, Ethiopia, India, and Vietnam; curriculum, faculty, and resource development with Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences in Tanzania; and evaluation of the effectiveness of the Comprehensive Care Management and Treatment program for HIV/AIDS in South Africa. Before joining CGHD, Ms. Falconer worked in development and grant writing for Citizen Schools, as a program associate who conducted grant making and community outreach for El Pomar Foundation in Colorado, and as an instructor for the Outdoor School in Santa Barbara, California and Outward Bound in Newry, Maine.
