Amiya Bhatia, Research Assistant, at Center for Global Health and Development is currently working on a study examining the organizational development of NGOs serving vulnerable children in Ethiopia. She has also worked for CGHD in India on a study on the disclosure of HIV status to orphans and vulnerable children. Prior to joining CGHD, Ms. Bhatia worked for the GAVI Alliance in Geneva on health systems strengthening and for the Cambridge University Students’ Union where she was responsible for improving health services for young people, and policy development on health and mental health. Ms. Bhatia has also worked as a caseworker for an organization supporting female survivors of rape and sexual abuse. She has lived and worked in Nepal, India, UK, Switzerland and Ethiopia and speaks Hindi and Nepali. Ms. Bhatia holds a BA in Social Anthropology from the University of Cambridge.
