India Country Program
The Center for Global Health & Development (CGHD) has been actively engaged in research and evaluation activities related to public health in India since September 2006. Through our collaborative work with scientists in India, the CGHD has contributed to program- and policy-relevant research on malaria during pregnancy. Since 2007, the CGHD has broadened its scope of work in India to include the Maternal and Child Health Sustainable Technical Assistance and Research (MCH-STAR) project in which it is a consortium partner. For its part in this project, the CGHD focuses on operations, applied and policy research, and program evaluations related to maternal, neonatal, and child health and nutrition (MNCHN). The CGHD is also participating in future planning of research and evaluation in the area of Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVC) in India.
