CGHD to Evaluate the Roll Back Malaria Partnership

July 26, 2013

Led by Dr. Jonathon Simon, a team of CGHD scientists will lead the external evaluation of the Roll Back Malaria (RBM) Partnership.

The Roll Back Malaria (RBM) Partnership was launched in 1998 by the World Health Organization (WHO), the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) and The World Bank. The RBM Partnership — which includes constituencies from malaria endemic countries, development organizations, OECD donor countries, foundations, NGOs, private sector, research and academia — has become the leading global initiative for mobilizing action and resources, forging consensus and coordinating efforts in the worldwide fight against malaria.

CGHD will conduct an external evaluation of RBM through selective document review, stakeholder interviews, country visits, and electronic surveys of RBM partners. Site visits will be conducted in Cameroon, Senegal, Kenya, and Zimbabwe.

The external evaluation of RBM follows our recent malaria program evaluations of PMI and MACEPA.
