- 2012 Costas Consultation on Feb. 8th and 17th.

Acknowledging the 200th Anniversary  of the Judson Mission and the American Board  of Commissioners for Foreign Missions, the Costas Consultation will be held at the Tabernacle Church, Salem and the Park Street Church, Boston. With the theme “Commemorating the Past, Embracing the Future”, various speakers such as Todd Johnson, Margaret Bendroth, Clifford Putney, Garth Rosell, Allen Yeh, Mark Heim, Nimi Wariboko, Richard Pierard and student panels will deliver lectures and panel discussions. - African Americans and the Abrahamic Religions Symposium on April 19-20.

Our center will co-sponsor this event with African American Study Center atwestern_religious_symbols BU. This symposium will explore the impact that the Abrahamic Religions  have had on Africans and their descendants in the Americas from the period of the slave trade until the present day.
