CIMIT is creating a national “center-without-walls” for rapid transformation of emerging point-of-care technologies (POCTs) into commercially viable, clinically focused solutions for improving primary health care.
In collaboration with the MGH Stoeckle Center for Primary Care Innovation, CIMIT has reached out to the primary care community to define unmet needs for which point-of-care technologies could be of value. These needs will be explored during this session.
In December 2012, a call for proposals to develop POCTs responsive to defined unmet clinical needs will be announced by CIMIT. Academic engineering research and development laboratories within CIMIT and the US are eligible to participate. Collaboration with investigators from the CIMIT community is strongly encouraged
