All participants in Boston University pre-college programs are housed together in student residency halls on the Boston University campus. Young men and women live in separate units, two to a room. Residency halls are equipped with 24-hour security personnel and observe an evening curfew. Carefully selected program assistants provide guidance and supervision. Students eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner together in University dining halls.
Curfew rules are in place to protect each student’s safety. The residence hall curfew is strictly enforced and is as follows:
Sunday–Thursday nights: 11 p.m.
Friday and Saturday nights: midnight
The Boston University Visual Arts Summer Institute is a program for serious art students. A student’s failure to act appropriately can interfere with the work of other students and prevent them from obtaining maximum benefit from the offered programs. Rules governing student conduct while enrolled in the Visual Arts Summer Institute are provided to each student at registration. Infractions of the rules may result in disciplinary action up to and including dismissal from the Visual Arts Summer Institute. If a student is dismissed for violation of the rules of the Institute, no tuition or housing refund will be given.
