The School of Visual Arts welcomes you to visit and take a student-led tour, discuss its programs with faculty and staff members, and receive portfolio feedback.

Undergraduate Visits

Schedule a Tour

The School offers student-led tours of its undergraduate facilities Monday through Friday during the academic year and summer. During these informal, hour-long tours, the student tour guide provides prospective students and their parents with an overview of the School’s programs, and tours also include visits to studios and classrooms.

While most tours are scheduled for 12:30PM, it is sometimes accommodate families at other times. To make a tour reservation, please call the School of Visual Arts at 617-353-3371.

Prospective students may also take a general Boston University campus tour and/or attend an information session. To schedule either, visit the Boston University Undergraduate Admissions Reception Center website or call 617-353-2318.

Graduate Visits

General Tours

Faculty members and currently enrolled graduate students are available to assist prospective students with questions about graduate programs. For information about contacting a departmental representative or to determine a tour schedule, call the School of Visual Arts at 617-353-3371.

Undergraduate Portfolio Feedback Opportunities

Each year, we offer three informal portfolio feedback sessions prior to the admissions cycle.
Portfolio feedback sessions have ended for this admissions cycle.

Final Portfolio Reviews

Portfolio Review days have ended for this admissions cycle.  Thank you for your interest.

Portfolio Review Days include the following:

  • An information session.
  • An in-person review with a faculty member.
  • A tour of the School of Visual Arts.
