Batu Siharulidze

Post-Graduate degree, All-Union Academy of Arts, Moscow, Georgia, Former USSR.
Graduate Degree, State Academy of Arts, Tbilisi, Georgia.
Art Teacher Degree, Art College, Tbilisi, Georgia.
Batu came to the United States in 1994, and taught at Virginia Commonwealth University as well as George Mason University before coming to Boston University in 2004.  In the last decade, Batu has exhibited and participated in the sculpture exhibits and symposiums in the USA, Turkey, Italy, China, Spain, Great Britain, Austria, Netherlands, Russia, and Georgia. His works are held in museums, private collections, and in permanent outdoor displays in the United States, Great Britain, the Netherlands, Turkey, and Georgia.  In 2003, his sculpture Trakia became a permanent display in the International Peace Garden on the border of Turkey, Bulgaria, and Greece.
