A. Lloyd Lillie Jr. was born in 1932. He received a diploma from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, and also studied at Skowhegan School of Painting & Sculpture, the Corcoran School of Art, and the Accademia di Belle Arti, Florence.

He is the recipient of sculpture awards at the National Sculpture Society and the National Academy. He has recently exhibited at Dana Hall School, Wellesley, MA; St. Botolph Club, Boston; National Sculpture Society; the Boston Athenaeum; the Hirshhorm Museum; and the Corcoran Gallery of Art.
