Ledelle Moe: Collapse
January 22 to March 14, 2008
Opening Reception: Friday, February 8th, 5:30-7:30pm
School of Visual Arts presents the work of South African artist Ledelle Moe. Born in Durban, South Africa, Moe creates works primarily in concrete and steel that range in scale from the diminutive to the monumental. In Collapse, Moe showcases an installation of small-scale and colossal concrete heads. Appearing like fallen monuments of civilizations past, Moe’s massive concrete heads explore themes of permanence and fragility.
