Application Procedures
To apply, please complete and print the application form (pdf) and return it, with the following items, to:

With the application, please include:
- The $65 application fee
- A photograph of yourself
- A resume, stating your theatrical and educational background
- A brief essay of approximately 1,000 words which addresses the following topics:
- Why do you want to participate in the Boston University Theatre Institute? What are you looking for in a summer program?
- Describe a successful production in which you have performed in the recent past. What did you learn from playing your role?
- What or who has influenced you in theatre?
- What type of work will you be doing in 10-15 years? Why?
- Two letters of recommendation, which may either accompany this application or be sent directly to the Summer Theatre Institute. These recommendations should be either from those who have supervised you in theatre-related activities and/or academic references.
We cannot evaluate your application until we have received all of these items.
