Outside Activities

College of Fine Arts

Theatre Institute students have a fully structured program during the week. The student-life staff schedules optional activities on the weekends. There are numerous activities that range from movie nights to a variety of field trips. During the five weeks, Theatre Institute students have the chance to attend professional theatre, music, and dance performances throughout New England. In the past, students have gone to the Vineyard Playhouse on Martha's Vineyard, attended Tanglewood, Shakespeare and Company and the Williamstown Theatre Festival in the Berkshires, as well as attended events in the Boston Theatre District.

Boston is famous for its rich history, abundant charm, and natural beauty. For Theatre Institute students, access to city sights is as easy as jumping on the "T" (the public transit system), which stops in front of the School. Movies, museums, restaurants, theatres, free concerts, parks, beaches, and Red Sox games at nearby Fenway Park are some of the recreational and cultural riches that await the summer resident of Boston.

To help ensure that all students have a safe and productive experience, a number of rules and policies have been developed to govern campus life. A full explanation of these is contained in the Theatre Institute Handbook, the 2008/2008 Residence License Agreement, and the 2008/2008 Lifebook, which is distributed at registration.
