MFA Scenic Design from Boston University; BFA Painting from the BU School of Visual Arts. In the Boston area, Cristina has designed for the Lyric Stage Company, New Repertory Theatre, Speakeasy Stage, the Huntington Theatre Company, Stoneham Theatre, Company One, the Orfeo Group, Gloucester Stage, Commonwealth Shakespeare, Williamstown Theatre Festival, as well as for the Summer Play Festival, the Culture Project at the Barrow Street Theatre and the Olney Theatre Center. She is the recipient of the 2008 Elliot Norton Award for Outstanding Set Design for The Clean House at the New Repertory Theatre. Cristina has also designed for Suffolk University, Boston College, and Harvard University. As a scenic artist she has worked on many feature films including The Crucible, The Spanish Prisoner, State and Main, The Perfect Storm, The Brotherhood, Underdog, 21, The Pink Panther 2, The Box, and Mall Cop. She worked as a scenic charge for six years at VDA Productions, an event design group, during which time she charged projects for installations with clients that included “Waterfall” for L.L Bean in Freeport, Maine, “Bourbon Street” for Jordan’s Furniture in Natick, Massachusetts, “Arthur, the World Tour” permanent and nationwide traveling shows for the Boston Children’s Museum, “The Woods” for the Cincinnati Children’s Museum, Houston Grand Opera, and Radio Disney. Cristina is a member of USA Local 829.
