Audio system designer and production audio consultant. BFA studies, Ithaca College and S.U.N.Y. Purchase. Mr. McCartney served as production audio engineer on Broadway for: A Chorus Line, Beatlemania, Doonesbury, Ain’t Misbehavin’. As an audio system designer Mr. McCartney has supported the national touring companies of I’m Not Rapport, The King and I and The Magic of David Copperfield. Regional design and production credits include; The Boston Pops at Symphony Hall, Huntington Theatre, Handel and Haydn Society, Broadway in Boston, STOMP, The Irish and How they Got That Way, Five Guy’s Named Moe, and WGBH. Mr. McCartney is currently the audio consultant to the Boston Lyric Opera, The Boston Early Music Festival and the Cape Playhouse and guest lecturer at Suffolk University, Northeastern University, the Cambridge public schools, and for the past ten years, production audio engineer at the Shubert Theatre, Boston.
