Sidney Friedman

AB, Princeton University; MA and PhD, University of Iowa.  Additional training: American Conservatory Theatre, Southern Methodist University/International Stage Movement Institute, Lessac Institute for Voice and Speech, Alexander Technique with Marjorie Barstow. Taught at Washington University in St. Louis, 1966–81, and at Boston University 1981 to the present. Director of over 90 productions including more than a dozen new works. Most recent at BU are The Visit, Three Sisters, and The Skin of Our Teeth; most recent professional credits are The Philadelphia Story (Pendragon Theatre, Saranac Lake, New York), Conversations with My Father (New Jewish Theatre, St. Louis). and “Five Across—One Down” (Boston Playwrights’ Theatre, September 2010).
