Students enrolling in the Boston University Tanglewood Institute may pay their non-refundable $750 deposit by check, money order, or credit card. Admissions decisions are typically released in early-mid March with a deposit deadline of early-mid April.

This deposit is applied directly towards the total cost of attendance.

Please note – to protect the security of credit card data, we are unable to accept ANY credit card information via email.

Payments following your Deposit

The remaining balance (total cost minus the $750 deposit) must be paid in full prior to arrival. Invoices will be mailed by Boston University’s Student Accounting Services at a later date. If the primary address you provided during the application process should not be used when sending the invoice, please contact BUTI.

All payments after the initial deposit should be sent directly to Student Accounting Services. Acceptable methods of payment include check, money order, or credit card. Students paying by credit card may pay online. Directions for online payment will be posted at a later date. For all methods of payment, please be sure to include the student’s University ID number (beginning with a ‘U’ on the invoice).

Please contact Student Accounting Services with any questions surrounding your payment process AFTER you have submitted your $750 deposit to BUTI.
