The popular tale of a doomed romance between a sensuous gypsy and Done Jose, a Spanish soldier whom she lures into her world. Don Jose rejects his childhood love of Micaela and turns from his superiors in the army, only to be betrayed by Carmen who falls in love with Escamillo, the dashing toreador.

This powerful one-act adaptation will be performed in French with English supertitles and a 14-piece onstage chamber orchestra.
