Advance Your Career in Art Education
Students are guided by master teachers with years of experience in the studio and classroom. The online program allows our students to receive the highest caliber education without leaving their families, jobs, and communities. Most students complete the MA degree in 18–24 months with electives that include an Artist-Teacher Focus which emphasizes studios skills and includes our popular Summer Studios program. Summer Studios brings students to Boston for intensive, hands-on, process-oriented instruction within a supportive, intimate environment. At the conclusion of this optional component, you'll leave refreshed and inspired, and your work invigorated.
You can also choose the Arts Education Leadership Focus which emphasizes policy, advocacy, personnel issues, funds management. Learn how to take a leading role and advocate for the arts both within your school's walls and in your community. Discover how your gift for managing a classroom and developing innovative learning strategies is of great value in building a community grounded in the arts.
You can also create your own Focus by selecting courses from both programs.
