The Performance Diploma is a non-degree program for the specialized training of performers of orchestral instruments and piano who seek to continue their musical training beyond the MusM level, with emphasis on orchestral and chamber music repertoire. The program focuses on the practical aspects of musical training: private instruction, musicianship skills, performance, participation in musical organizations and in chamber ensembles.
Candidates are required to spend two years in residence, to pursue private instruction (four semesters) in their performance field, and to participate in chamber music and large ensembles (four semesters each). Candidates will present a minimum of two recitals, or the equivalent, while in residence.
