The School of Music provides a piano accompanist for string auditions in Boston. Candidates must bring the piano score to the audition.
The applicant should be prepared to play all major and minor scales by J. S. Bach, D. Scarlatti, and F. Couperin. It is also recommended that the student perform at least one work from the following list of composers: G. Frescobaldi, F. Couperin, J. J. Froberger, and W. Byrd. In addition to students with harpsichord background, pianists and organists may also apply for the degree program in harpsichord.
