Regional Auditions
Regional auditions are attended and videotaped by School
of Music and Tanglewood Institute Admissions staff members.
Faculty members will adjudicate the auditions from Boston.
Students who live more than 300 miles from one of our audition locations are
welcome to submit a self-prepared
recorded audition, in accordance with
our guidelines.
Applicants to Masters and Doctoral programs are strongly encouraged to attend
the Boston
Auditions*.
The regional auditions will be held in mid-January and will include the following locations: New York City; Washington, DC; Chicago; Los Angeles; and Austin, Texas. Additional auditions for Tanglewood Institute applicants only will be held in Montgomery, Alabama.
