Recording Submission Guidelines
The following content is from the 2009-2010 admissions period and will remain available as a reference only. Information on 2010-2011 admissions will be confirmed in early November.
All recordings must contain separate tracks for each repertoire selection. The first track must be an announcement of your name, the program(s) for which you applying, the date, and what you will be performing for your audition (identifying the title and composer). Only submissions on an audio compact disc (CD) will be accepted with the exception of harpists and percussionists–harpists must submit a DVD and percussionists may submit an audio CD or DVD.
Please label your audio CD or DVD with the following information: whether your submission is a CD or DVD, your name, your instrument or voice type, and the BUTI program(s) for which you are applying. Unlabeled discs will be reviewed at the discretion of the program. We strongly urge that you test your recording in a CD/DVD player before sending it. Be sure not to send a data CD that plays only on a computer.
All recordings must be accompanied by the 2010 Verification of Recorded Audition Form. Submissions that arrive without this form may be disqualified.
