Robert Dodson

Previously served as Director of the Division of Music of the Meadows School of the Arts, Southern Methodist University, Provost of the New England Conservatory of Music, Dean of the Oberlin College Conservatory of Music, Dean of the Lawrence University Conservatory of Music, and Principal of the Royal Conservatory of Music at the University of Toronto. He was Founding and Managing Director of The Chamber Music Institute and Friends of Chamber Music, Inc., in Kingston, Toronto and Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario; and was for twelve years cellist of the Vaghy String Quartet, in residence at Queen’s University, Kingston, Ontario. He attended Columbia College, Columbia University; New England Conservatory of Music; and Indiana University, where he completed bachelor’s and master’s degrees in music (cello performance).
