Gifts to the Friends of Music Fund will
- Help current music students cover tuition costs
- Support the maintenance and updating of School of Music facilities, including the purchase of modular practice rooms
- Subsidize the building of sets and costumes for the Opera Institute's mainstage productions
- Underwrite the semiannual Symphony Hall concerts
- Acquire instruments for the Historical Performance and World Music programs
- Provide master classes and residencies of distinguished musicians and scholars
- Support student travel to competitions and conferences
- Underwrite production of faculty CDs which enhance the public profile of the school
