Boston, MA – The School of Music at the College of Fine Arts at Boston University is pleased to present the Anthony di Bonaventura Memorial Concert in memory of beloved School of Music Professor Anthony di Bonaventura (1929–2012) — October 29 at Tsai Performance Center.

A concert to remember a man who devoted a lifetime to music, Anthony di Bonaventura’s life and work will be celebrated through the sharing of memories by his family and friends, and performances by distinguished guest artists, as well as former and current students including:

For nearly four decades, Anthony di Bonaventura, served as Professor of Music at the School of Music at Boston University College of Fine Arts. “A major figure in the music world since his debut as a child prodigy,” remembered Benjamín Juárez, Dean of the Boston University College of Fine Arts, “Tony enriched the School of Music with his passionate commitment to musical excellence and his advocacy of new music by such luminaries as Ligeti, Berio, Ginastera, and Persichetti, all of whom wrote music for him.”
