Olivia Szabo

Olivia has been teaching English for over 25 years in various settings. She learned English as a foreign language in her native country, Hungary, where she taught English for 8 years before coming to the US.

While getting her Master’s degree at UIUC, she was teaching in the Intensive English Institute of the university. After graduating from the TESOL program, she moved to Seattle where she taught in various English language programs, like the English Language Programs of the University of Washington. While living in Seattle, she also did some teacher training at Antioch and Western Washington University. After moving to Boston in 2006, she started teaching at CELOP, where she has been enjoying working with all the amazing students from all over the world.

Olivia enjoys traveling, learning languages and being outdoors. She also swims and practices yoga, enjoys reading books and watching movies.

Her professional interests include project-based language learning and developing learner autonomy.
