In addition to the knowledge you gain from the classroom, you can also improve your English in the following ways.
CELOP Multimedia Language Lab (MLL) – There are four computer labs at CELOP. Three (255, 257, 267A) are scheduled for classes. One is an "Open Lab" (267B), which is open 8:30 am-6:00 pm Monday-Thursday (and until 4:00 pm Friday) for students to use to check e-mail, browse the internet, work on homework assignments, practice TOEFL, pronunciation, grammar, etc. Lesley is available to help students and faculty in the afternoon.
Community Service Center (353-4710)
The Community Service Center provides Boston University students with a great chance to give back to the community while meeting new people and making new friends. Visit the Community Service Center at 775 Commonwealth Ave., 4th Floor in order to get involved in one of their many programs.
Hours: Monday-Friday 9AM-5PM.

Krasker Film/Video Services (353-8112)
The Krasker Film/Video Library at 985 Commonwealth Avenue has over 15,000 feature films, documentaries, and educational short films on VHS, laser disc, and DVD. You can watch films in special viewing stations which can fit up to 3 people. Many full feature (VHS) videos can also be rented for 2 nights or a weekend for $3.15.
