For more information visit FishermansFeast.com The North End, Boston’s Italian neighborhood, hosts feasts (festivals). The feasts are a tradition that go back to the time of the first Italian immigrants in Boston. At the feasts, you can find Italian food served in the streets in a fair or carnival setting. Carnival type games with prizes, entertainment, bands, and DJ’s are also part of the feasts. Most importantly, at each feast there is a procession or parade with marching bands playing and members of the societies carrying a statue of their favorite saint. People attach money to the saint as it passes by. It's a great atmosphere!
