Yewon ChaYewon  Cha

Yewon, from Korea, studied at CELOP for one year.  She decided to enroll in CELOP classes because,

CELOP has an outstanding reputation as an English language program with a strong academic focus and is part of a prestigious university.

She thoroughly enjoys studying at CELOP because she is “having fun while she learns a lot.  It is enjoyable to learn and improve at CELOP.” Yewon feels that at CELOP “she has a wonderful opportunity to meet people from all over the world.”

At CELOP, she has learned “practical English.”  She can now understand what people are saying and they can understand her.  At CELOP, she is learning “real American English; not the textbook English that she learned in Korea.”

Yewon's experiences at CELOP have given her a lot of confidence and enabled her to understand more about the culture of the United States.  She feels more comfortable talking with native speakers and no longer hesitates to use the phone or to talk face-to-face with someone.

She will always remember her Semester Book elective class.  She had a wonderful time meeting people, taking their pictures and writing articles during this class.

She also especially loved celebrating Halloween at CELOP.  The decorations and costumes gave the place a special feel, and it was exciting to celebrate this special American holiday.
