Captain Robson Arouche Martins Cerdeal

Robson Arouche Martins CerdealRobson,  from Brazil,  studied at CELOP during the summer of 2005.  He is currently a military police officer in Rio de Janeiro.  Robson’s opinion of CELOP:

CELOP is a wonderful place to study English.  There are many great facilities here and the people are interesting and friendly.  CELOP provides a range of opportunities to study English and to learn to speak well, regardless of your level.  I was pleasantly surprised at how much I learned about other countries and the amount of international friends I was able to make since I began studying at CELOP.

Robson will always remember the Sit-Com Club of CELOP:

After watching different TV shows, Jenn Kay Fields held a discussion about American culture, during which we had the opportunity to compare our cultures with American culture.  I always looked forward to these meetings because people were so open and fun when discussing their cultures.

Robson feels that he learned a lot in his Listening, Speaking and Vocabulary elective:

I had a wonderful teacher who always helped the students.  She was genuinely happy working with the students and very proud of them when they succeeded.  She was very encouraging and I learned so much in her class.

If you are considering studying ESL in Boston, Robson recommends:

You should definitely study at CELOP because it is an excellent place to learn.  You will have many opportunities to meet new friends.

When I first came to the States, I was worried that I might not be able to make many new friends.  But CELOP helped me learn a lot about Boston and I gained enough confidence to even visit other states with the friends I made at CELOP.
