Amen Djengue
Amen Djengue, originally from Benin, West Africa is currently studying at CELOP (2006). He is a certified public accountant in France and plans to earn an MBA in Investment Analysis and Portfolio Management.
He chose to study at CELOP because his advisor from the American Embassy in Paris strongly recommended that he study here. Amen knew that he wanted to earn his graduate degree in Boston, and his advisor told him that CELOP was at an ideal location and offered the highest quality classes.
I love CELOP because I have many opportunities to speak English with people from all over the world. I really admire the level of professionalism of my teachers. In addition, the CELOP staff is close to the students and will help in any way possible.
If I want advice about how to find an apartment, where to spend my free time, how to open a bank account or advice about my future studies I just come to CELOP and there are people here who know exactly how to help me.
I love interacting with the faculty and staff. CELOP feels like a second home to me. It has everything I need here and I feel comfortable in Boston because I am a student here.
My teachers are well-traveled and very knowledgeable about our native countries. This helps us feel very comfortable when we talk to them. Our teachers know us personally and can relate to us very well because they understand our cultures.
I will definitely keep in touch with the friends I met here. I have made close friends after just three months. After seeing my friends everyday, we created wonderful friendships. I have had the opportunity to make friends from Asia, Latin America, Africa, and Europe. I really appreciated the opportunity to learn about so many different countries.
I would strongly recommend CELOP to anyone interested in studying English in the States and learning about other cultures. I do not know if I will ever have the chance again to experience so many different cultures through the eyes of such beautiful and diverse people.
