Margot Valdivia

Job Duties

The Director is responsible for the overall administration and academic management of the Center, safeguards and improves the quality of the academic programs and student services at CELOP, is the chief liaison between CELOP and Boston University offices (e.g., the Office of the Executive Vice President and Provost), and is the contact person for formal requests.

Education

  • M.A. in TESOL, University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA)
  • Fulbright Scholarship, University of San Marcos and Catholic University, Lima, Peru
  • B.A. in Spanish, Art History, University of Southern California (USC)

  • Member of National Team of Administrators and Teachers of English as a Second Language (ATESL) in the Association of International Educators (NAFSA), 1995-97
    President, Consortium of University and College Intensive English Programs (UCIEP), 1991-92

  • Regular presenter from Program Administrators' Sections at Regional and National Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) and Association of International Educators (NAFSA)
