Foreign Student Advisor

Job Duties

As CELOP's Designated School Official (DSO), the Foreign Student Advisor reviews student applications and financial documents, provides ongoing advising services for students’ visa and immigration needs, issues I-20’s in the Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS) and does SEVIS registration for CELOP students. The Foreign Student Advisor also processes student transfers to and from CELOP.

• 1990-2001, EFL Teacher in Finland, studied at the University of Helsinki
• Traveled in Mexico, Canada, Nepal, and throughout much of Europe

• Fluent in Finnish
• Some Spanish, German, and Swedish
