Teaching/Research Interests

  • My fascination lies with creative writing. I am especially interested in the religious and philosophical tenets which underlie and support various cultures, including Asian, Indian, European, and Celtic cultures. I am an avid reader of philosophical texts.

Experience Abroad

  • Lived, studied, taught and worked in Germany, 1976-1982
  • Traveled to and experienced the cultures of France, Spain, Italy, Austria, Switzerland, Greece and Tunisia

Languages

  • Fluent in German
  • Some knowledge of Spanish and French

Related/Other Experience

  • Journalist for yellowtimes.org from 2002-2003.
  • I am accustomed to working with a wide range of age and ethnic groups. I also volunteer at two senior centers in Dorchester providing uplifting entertainment through my music. (I am a pianist and an organist.) These centers service different ethnic and racial groups such as the Vietnamese, Haitians, Cape Verdeans, Hispanics, Afro-Americans and whites. A percentage of the clients includes Alzheimer patients as well.
  • I was the assistant organist at Holy Trinity German Church in Boston, from 1994-2008.
  • I have been writing poetry for years and have begun to write more philosophical essays as well.
