NETEC and Special Pathogen’s Research Network: A National Collaboration

The National Ebola Training and Education Center’s Special Pathogens Research Network (SPRN) was established in 2016, in collaboration with the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Preparedness and Response and the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The mission is to create a national platform for the study of special pathogens and the evaluation of promising medical countermeasures. CEID, together with the National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories (NEIDL), serves as a technical partner in this important national effort.
