Guest housing
units include two beds and a private bath with flush toilet and a
rainwater shower. Links to the trails are found just outside your

The station is equipped
with a full kitchen and an open-air dining hall that offers three
meals a day. Lunches can be made for anyone with a long day in the
field and snacks are often available. |
The grounds feature a hammock
house, providing a comfortable area to relax, catch up on reading,
or review research. |

Rainwater is collected throughout
the station using a system of roof drains and sisterns. The water
is recycled for many uses throughout the camp. |

While at TBS, wildlife and
a wide network of trails is just a few steps away. The spacing between
the buildings allows for a pleasant walk as you travel between facilities. |

Due to the isolated
location of the station, communication is limited. However, the TBS
is in radio contact with Quito offices on a daily basis. there is
also a satellite phone (available for US$ 5.00 per minute) that can
be used (sparingly) by visitors. Medical assistance is available 24
hours a day through an agreement with the YPF Oil operation. |
