Interests
Dr. Swing is
the Director and primary instructor of BU's Tropical
Ecology Program in Ecuador.
Professor Swing's
research focuses on the ecology of neotropical fish, amphibians, and
reptiles, including influences on their present distribution and evolutionary
history. Other efforts are directed toward conservation of natural
areas under development pressures, and conservation of biodiversity
(including studies of endangered species, development of management
plans and environmentally compatible legislation).
