physiology and hydraulic architecture. Current research sites include
temperate forests (Sargent Center for Outdoor Education and Harvard
Forest) and tropical rainforest (Tiputini Biodiversity Station).

The National Science Foundation has just awarded a new project grant for a three year study to examine the physiological ecology of palm Mauritia flexuosa at the Tiputini Biodiversity Station in Ecuador.
